I've been thinking of how in many ways, becoming wealthy is like a game. It can almost be compared to the game of Monopoly. There are basic rules which need to be followed, like the ones in the book "The Richest Man in Babylon". There is an element of randomness and chance nonetheless, such as that described in the book "Fooled by randomness", which can lead to great fortune or great failure. These would be represented by the dice, the tax squares, and by the chance cards.
You can get lucky in a game, and win, but more likely, without knowing the rules, and playing by those rules, you will meet disappointment most times. I am still learning the rules of the game of wealth, and I am still playing the game.
I intend to play the game of wealth for as long as it takes, until I get good at it. One thing is true about any game, and it is that to have any chance of becoming successful, you have to play.
