Health and wealth

Billionaire Mark Cuban has a blog which I regularly follow. He said in a recent post: The cheaper you can live, the greater your options. If living cheaply is good enough for a billionaire, then its good enough for me.

I went to the doctor today for a checkup. I wanted advice on how to get even more energy.

I told the doctor I had been getting 5 hours of sleep each night (Donald Trump does this), but had recently changed to 8 hours of sleep. He told me that he himself got between 3-4 hours of sleep each night! This shows that humans do not need a lot of sleep.

I asked the doctor how regularly he has checkups. I was surprised when he said that he hasn't had one for years. He said that the human body is not like a car which needs regular check-ups, and that it heals itself the majority of the time. I was reminded of a quote in the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, when he says that most people who go to the doctor are hypochondriac, and should stop pandering to imaginary aches and pains. He explains that doctors know that the vast majority of people who visit their surgeries have nothing wrong with them, and just want to whinge. Its mainly all psychological.

The doctor didn't seem overly enthusiastic when I started talking about taking vitamin tablets for extra energy, and I reckon he thinks they are all a con. Anyway, you can buy vitamin tablets cheaply from Poundland or 99p Stores. Its amazing what they sell. They even sell hayfever tablets which come in handy at the moment. Much cheaper than Boots, Superdrug, chemists, etc.

Most illness is in the mind, but not always. I will still go to the doctor if I have a problem, but in general, I will believe in my own good health. I go jogging and cycling everyday and eat mainly healthy foods, after all, the longer I am alive, the more money I can make.
