The high-flying golden child

A stockbroker leapt to his death recently. People will say it was due to having so much money, and will trot out the usual rubbish of "see, money doesn't make you happy". The truth is money affects people in different ways, for example money makes me very happy. If I was ever depressed, I would think of all the money I could make in the future and this always makes me feel happy and motivated again.

The stockbroker in the article was a "golden child" who had things go his way all his life; top university, top jobs. He had some kind of problems at work and because he was unused to dealing with problems, he didn't know how to find a solution. Actively encountering and solving problems makes you stronger mentally and financially.

The lesson is to enjoy life as much as you can, and no matter how bad things may get at times, never, ever give up.
