I'm back to my Moneyseeking ways. Its great to be in shops and counting the pennies as I buy things, working out the final sum as I go along. Weeks ago when I splashed out £200 on frivolity without care, I didn't do this and ended up being overcharged on chocolate penguin bars in Iceland. Well, recently I went back to Iceland and complained to the manager as the bars were still on sale but did not match the price tag on the shelf. I took a pack to the till and as soon as the incorrect price came up, I pointed it out and asked to speak to the manager. I pointed out the pricing error, and left the store happy.
I'm reminded of one of the Superman films when Superman loses his powers and gets beaten up in a bar fight. He later regains his powers and returns to get his revenge:
This is like me, when I abandoned my moneyseeking to burn through £200. Now I'm back to my powers of finance, and I'm keeping a close eye on every penny. Moneyseeker3000 will never again kneel to the powers of consumerism:
I ended my £200 experiment last month with £2.65. I kept that money to test myself, and I didn't spend it at all. I still have that £2.65. It's good to feel in control of my finances. It's good for this little penguin to have his financial revenge on consumerism. Let the moneyseeking continue.
